Yesterday evening, I had a photo shoot with these two lovely young ladies and their parents. Their names are Grace and Claire, and they were so fun to work with! Claire, the youngest was shy about getting her pictures taken by herself, but Grace on the other hand was all about showing off her skills at hula hooping, playing the piano, and just how all around fun she was. The shoot lasted a little over an hour and I got some amazing shots. What made this shoot interesting was I really wanted to work with lighting and during the shoot my confidence was really low when I was using the lighting set up. Every time I would "chimp" or look at the back of the camera after every picture, I wasn't happy with how it looked. I left thinking that I didn't get any good shots with the lighting set up. I started to think I was purely going to be a natural light photographer. So, when I got home, I wasn't as excited to edit the pictures as I usually am. However, once I opened the pictures up on the computer and noticed they turned out awesome!!! Even the ones with the lighting. They almost turned out better then the outdoor natural light pictures that I took. All in all it was a fun shoot with an awesome family, and a great experience. It took about an hour and a half to do, and I think it all worked out great in the end!
