Well, the last couple of months have been long and busy. I have had a the chance to shoot my first two weddings during the month of September and October. I realized a few things from this. One, weddings are a lot of hard work. Two, the hard work is definitely worth it in the end. Third, I need to step up my game and keep on track with the website. I can't get better and help more people capture forever moments during their special days if I don't continue to shoot, and continue to stay on top of adding more content to my site.
With that being said, let me tell you about the two weddings I shot. The first was my cousins wedding. Let me tell you, she made an amazing bride and I couldn't have been more proud to be the one to capture the memories from that night. The venue was amazing and the just added to the amazing ceremony and reception. I was the only photographer for this wedding, and I was definitely focused and determined to make sure I was able to get every moment possible. I kept going over in my head the shots I know I needed to get and kept telling myself to keep my eyes open for those unexpected moments. I was a tad nervous in the beginning but as the night went on, I was so busy, I didn't have a chance to even think about being nervous. All in all, I was extremely happy with the images (you can see some in my weddings portfolio).
The second wedding was for a family friend, and I felt way more prepared. I think the saying "the more you practice, the better you get" holds true. The day went really smooth, I had one or two hiccups which thanks to my previous experienced I was able to stay calm and still capture the images I wanted to capture. The venue again was awesome and the ceremony was just as amazing. The day was absolutely beautiful and the sun hid nicely behind the clouds just enough for me to have great lighting during the ceremony. I was completely happy with the images (again you can see some in my weddings portfolio) that I was able to capture and deliver.
I hope to be able to capture more wedding next year and look forward to capturing special moments for more couples on their special day!
